Location Information - Where Is Brickfields Woodland
Brickfields Woodland is on two sites, equivalent in size to more than 40 football pitches, which interconnect by walking across Chester Lane. The main site - known as Daisyfield - is adjacent to the former Ibstock brickworks and the old Lord St.Helens (Cory) landfill site. It's located between Chester Lane to the east, Lea Green Road to the west and Walkers Lane to the south. Via Walkers Lane, Brickfields Daisyfield connects to the King George V playing fields and then over Jubits Lane to the Sutton Manor Woodland. This hosts the Dream sculpture and makes for a very pleasant walk.Brickfields Red Quarry is a smaller woodland and is sandwiched between Chester Lane and Clock Face Road. Directly opposite the Clock Face Road entry is an entrance to Sutton Mill Dam, enabling a further extension of a Brickfields walk.

How Do I Get To Brickfields Woodland?
By Rail - Lea Green Station on the Liverpool to Manchester line is only 700 yards away from the Chester Lane entrance. By Bus - There are a number of buses from St.Helens town centre which stop at Brickfields: nos. 17, 17A, 17B, 32, 33, 33A, 140, 194, 195, 240. By Road - Postcode WA9 4EN. Car parking - for a limited time - is permissible outside the entrance to the Brickfields Daisyfield site in Chester Lane.Accessibility of Brickfields
Brickfields Daisyfield can be accessed from entrances on Chester Lane, Walkers Lane and Lea Green Road. Brickfields Red Quarry can be accessed from entrances on Chester Lane and Clock Face Road. There is good accessibility via well-designed kissing gates in both woodlands. When entering, note the glass effect bricks in the kissing gates made out of a resin brick format which were designed by local schoolchildren.The Lea Green Road entrance is unsuitable for wheelchair users. It's often muddy and has a narrow track with a high gradient that leads into the woodland. There are generally smooth, surfaced paths within the woodlands, most of which are 3 metres wide, although there is some undulation within Daisyfield. A number of novel benches on both sites allow visitors to take a break.
